New 4 stroke on 97 hull

I’m looking to repower my 97 21ft skeeter bay pro with a Yamaha 225 vmax which is the boats max hp rating. Back when the boat was made the two strokes ranged from 450 to 494 pounds. Today’s max weighs in at 505. Would the weight difference matter that much the lightest vs the heaviest. At most is was a 50lb difference. Between the lightest motor in 97. The heaveist was a 10-15 lb difference. I do plan on redoing the transom before I buy the motor also
