Yamaha F115 seeing 14.5 volts

I recently purchased a used Yamaha F115 outboard originally sold in 2006. When I first got it, it would not charge so I replaced the rectifier/regulator with one advertised as OEM equipment. It now charges, but I routinely see voltages as high 14.5 volts (on both the dash gauge and my multimeter). My first question is what the maximum charging voltage should be, My second question is whether anything other than the rectifier/regulator might account for the high voltage.

There's nothing wrong, that's a normal reading.

My 2004 Yam F90 posts exactly those numbers. When my regulator went bad it rose to 16+v

Thanks to all. It seemed high by automotive standards which is why I asked. I'll relax a little now.

Which automobile? 14.5 more less volts is what all of my cars and trucks output.

A number of smaller Yamaha motors have a voltage output greater than 15. Completely normal.
