My high thrust engine on my little Pontoon quit suddenly after normal operation for a couple of days out of winter storage. Fuel drained last fall, new no ethanol premium fuel used on start up. Flawless start, oil and filter and plugs, all good. 3 hours of use the first day. Move forward a day, idling while locating a buoy, the engine quit.
Towed home, after a wait, engine started, and ran normally, until it seemed to run out of fuel. Tried a different fuel supply and line, same result. Cleaned the carb, some very light debris in the carb smaller jet. Reinstalled carb, pumped it up, engine started and ran normally un it seemed to run out of fuel again. 60 seconds perhaps?
not much help online, a pretty simple system, and it points to the fuel pump for me. Any input? Thanks
