Did you remove the bolt up under the trim tab?

lower unit is stuck 30 yr veteran boat mechanic just gave up looking for sugggestions on how to get off all bolts are off down about 1/4 in

1. Bore hole through mid-section
2. Cut driveshaft
3. Remove lower unit, disassemble & replace drive shaft.
4. Remove powerhead, disassemble timing chain system & replace driven gear.
5. Weld hole or replace midsection
6 . Reinstall powerhead & lower unit

was hoping to keep from doing that taking back to mechanic who installed new lower unit .it is still under warranty if I cut drive shaft it's all on me it would be cheaper to buy another used motor then to go your way driveshaft is over 600.00 let alone the midsection and all the labor to disassemble and reassemble .thanks for suggestion

When was the lower unit installed?

lower unit was installed 12 to 14 months ago .we used wedges for wood splitting plastic ones pry bars and got it off thanks for the help.
