2000 100HP Yamaha 4 stroke Starting problems when warmed up

The engine starts up right away, runs great. After running for a while, if you turn the engine off, it will not start or even turn over ( nothing). It can be started by the emergency rope pull no problem.
It will start again after it has cooled down for a couple of hours. Any suggestions??

Remove, check , clean and grease all battery/starting cables and connections....make sure battery has a full charge....
