Hello to all. I have a mid 80's Suzuki DT40 2 stroke outboard. She was running great until last week. I had a hard time starting her, and when I did get her started she would peter out. So I took the cowling off and she started right up. Took her out for a quick run with the cowling off and no problems. As soon as the cowling went back on she would conk right out within a second or two. Obviously air is being restricted somewhere. Can anyone point this novice in the right direction.
