Thoughts on subject engines?
Considering the purchase of a '91 252G Grady White w/ 2 of these engines.
Estimated hours are ~1500.
If properly maintained, what is the life expectancy? could I get another 500Hrs out of them?
Any special precautions needed to conduct a compression test? Or can I just pull the plugs and spin?
Are these carb'd motors?

Carbed motor
Gas sucker

If used in SW, that's a lot of hours. Corrosion takes it toll
1991 puts you back in the pre-SeaV2 hull
Transoms in that time frame where problematic

I’m agreein’ with the corrosion concern; that’s a long time for raw water cooled aluminum engines. In fact the major advantage of the inboard is the ability to add closed cooling to a new or reman engine,

PS how’s the boat runnin?
