2001 225 OX66 VX225TLRZ I just replaced the whole lower unit on this motor. The question is, the water inlet covers on either side of the lower unit don't fit into opening. These were the exact P/N that the Yamaha drawing all the said to buy.

Was it a factory lower unit ?------Or aftermarket ?--------Part # of the replacement lower unit was ?

Finally got in touch with someone that could help. The new lower unit was a 66K-45300-12-00. The listed (wrong)water cover P/N was 61A45214-00-00 61A45215-00-00

The correct P/N is 61A-45214-30-00 and 45215-30-00
