Yamaha 2017, 150 HP-4stroke, QUESTION

I noticed that this engine has a 5 inch spacer in the lower unit to make this engine a 25 in. shaft.. Is this usual? Doesn't Yamaha have a mold for a 25 inch shaft 150? or are these engines made as a 20 inch and then just converted to 25 in. shaft by putting in a larger driveshaft ? Just curious.

Guess that's the cheapest, easiest way to add the 5 inches....why not?
