Suzuki DT9.9C Driveshaft removal

Well I do not have a manual for this one thought I did but can not find it. Job needs to be done. Doesany person know how to remove the drive shaft from this motor ? There is no nut at the bottom. Do I just yank it up ? Breaking the circlips on the way. Or must I remove the propeller shaft act. Really need to know before I do something I may regret.

look at it this way , if you break the clips jerking it out, how will you put it back together?

take it apart and do it correctly

And that is my question. What is the correct way. I have replaced drive shafts on OMC lower units by yanking the shaft up, this breaks or releases the clip holding the two shafts together. I was advised to do it in this way and have been using the engine for two seasons without any problems. I have also removed shift rods in the same way replacing damaged roll pins upon assembly. I am just seeking the proper method in which this driveshaft is removed .
