2001 Yamaha 50 HP TLRZ 2 stroke choke position

Just finished rebuilding 3 carbs, replaced plugs, fuel pump and filter, replaced impeller, lower unit, all hoses etc. My question is what position does the red choke selector switch behind the top carb need to be in for normal operation. I have 3 choices 1. Normal, 2. Open, and 3. Emergency. Thanks, Tom.
