muffs on yammie?

can i use muffs on my new 70? i have a bucket thats big enough but would prefer to use muffs. i like to fire my motor up before i leave my house. dont want to be on ramp and it not fire up. any issues i need to be aware of? do i need special muffs? thanks

Muffs work fine....just pop 'em on, crank her up at home in the driveway before heading to the ramp. Most any muffs seem to work fine on my old C90 Yamaha....

unless your bucket gets well up and over the raw water pump since the pumps are not self priming, it is highly recommended to use muffs

then it is a f70 not a 70.
being new could mean different things to some people.
Was it produced in 2016 or 2017?
It is always good to give a complete Model # when asking about a motor.
year of production comes in handy too since Yamaha stopped using letters in the model # to tell that story
