I need assistance in identifying the year and model of my Yamaha Outboard -- 6H4 L 921656 V (C40ILRW) <-- This written above the 6h4 L 921656
Any assistance/help would be greatly appreciated.

According to Yamahaoutboards.com, it is a 1998. There is a link on the bottom of the page for parts. In the parts lookup, you can enter the PID to access parts diagrams specific to your motor.
