Hi I have a Yamaha F50TLRC 2003 outboard. Recently the Volt meter has been pretty steady on 12V so I checked the battery with a volt meter. It is at 12.3V ( lower when starting) but does not go up when the engine is running, even at higher rpm. I assume the battery is not charging and so I need to fix before I get stranded. I read an old post and checked the Stator winding and they have 1.6ohm on each and the rectifier, the resistance is 2Mohm and on a diode setting only checks one way so I assume these are good. Anything else to check.? I have plugged in the mains power to charge overnight and the voltage is slowly rising.
