I have a 1986 Yamaha ETXJ outboard that after running and at idle, one head runs about 85 degrees and the other is at 110 degrees. Is that a thermostat issue? If so, who has them? Thanks

I would think any Yamaha dealer would have them

You can pull and replace then as Yamaha recommends or test to make sure they both work as the should. 85 sounds like it maybe stuck open if not both of them

Thanks, but there is no local dealer in the area, and I have to have them sent in. So I'm trying to find an outlet, or aftermarket parts.

pulling them ,inspecting/testing to see if they are bad would be the best thing to do before buying new parts

Agreed. No sense wasting hard earned money.

Can't argue with that logic....salary??! It's spent already, thanks.
