Suzuki DF140 random shut down as accellerating.

On 2 occasions my Suzuki 140 has shut down leaving the ignition switch dead for a period of time. This has happened twice in as many days while throttling up to speed. After a few minutes the ignition switch comes back on line and the engine restarts as normal. I took it to the Suzuki shop and after a hundred starts were unable to duplicate the problem. They tell me the problem will have to get worse to be able to duplicate for a diagnosis. My problem is I operate my boat at the mouth of the Columbia River and can not afford this problem to even occasionally occur. Any ideas what this problem could be?

By dead switch ...I mean the ignition switch was completely off line. Like it had no electrical supply. No warning buzzer ...nothing. Completely unresponsive when turning the key on and off.
