volvo aq130/ solex carb tune-up

two single throat 44 solex--the boat stumbles when you hit the throttle, points cleaned, new plugs, new wires, timed, now its time to do something with the carbs. was planning to buy carb rebuild kit and buy a unisyn, what do you know and what do i need to know and do? all help appreciated.thanks again

Those carbs are fairly simple. Just use good quality kits. From Volvo Penta, the parts come in two kits. One is a gasket kit(856470), the other repair kit(856472) has all the "hard" parts. Get them synched well or it will idle like junk. also... the idle is a little higher than most engines, I think 800-900 RPMs<br /><br />If your local dealer won't help with the parts, email me...
