I definitely have an increase in dipstick quantity of what I thought was oil. However obvious lower viscosity and gas smell in the oil leads me to think gas is getting into my oil pan. There is NO noticeable loss in performance, smoke, starting problems or rough running, it all seems normal. Although I know it is not, just did my second oil change after about 5 hours of running and I am noticing the gas in the oil again. Carburetion or cylinder problems ????Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hi Malibu,

Need more info (engine, carby etc). If its got a mechanical fuel pump then thats the likely culprit.

I would suggest you don't run it until its fixed and cleaned out, your crankcase is now a bomb waiting to ignite.

Aldo

if it has a holley carb and has ever backfired suspect the power valve.
if it has a q-jet suspect leaking mainwell plugs.
post more info and we can take more accurate guess's.
