I performed a search function I couldn’t find anything on this topic but I’m sure it’s been covered 1000 times before so forgive me. I have the Delco distributor and the time in shunt. My question is this do I connect the power lead from the timing shot to the battery before I start the motor or after?? I’ve read multiple threads even the Volvo Penta manual that contradict each other. The manual states warm up the engine shut off connect the shot and connect the power and restart the motor.
But I’ve read on other forums where you want to leave the motor running and connect a shunt with the motor running.
can you smart guys put me in the right direction I do not want to damage my ignition module.
