Hi all. I’m looking for some advice on replacing the water inlet hose in the drive and the nipple in a Volvo dp-sm drive set up in a jackshaft arrangement in an Albemarle 24. Do I just need to pull the drive for this? I can easily get to where the nipple connects to the hose going to the engine due to the jackshaft set up but I’ve never attempted this repair before and I’m having a hard time figuring out how it all goes together inside. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You need to pull the drive to replace the nipple. There is a plastic nut that holds the nipple in place. I would do it when you replace the bellows at two year intervals. Much easier access with the pivot housing removed.
