Winterizing - Part identification

I was winterizing my Volvo 5.0 Gxi-e and pulling the left side lower drain plug and notice it was stripping. There is a t connector on this side. One end goes to block, the other end is the drain plug and the 3rd is a round piece with a aluminum tube. Only way I could get it off was the take the t off. What is this round piece with a tube. Not sure if it was connected to something. I am not able to find this piece in any engine diagram or parts list

knock sensor. should be one on each side of the motor

awesome. thanks. I did not notice one on the right side connected to the drain plug. Will check to see if it is somewhere else. And there must be a hanging wire on the left side that was connected. Thanks for the info.

I only found one on the left side and found the wire that had broken off. There is only one of those t type connectors on that left side as well.

So looks like I will be replacing that
