I am trying without any luck to replace the trim motor on my 5.0 GL PEFS, SX-M outdrive. The motor burned up, so the outdrive won't go up or down. I've searched high and low, but everything I find that is supposed to be compatible won't fit. The centers on the mounting bolts are always either too narrow or too wide. Even called the Volvo Penta store. They gave me part number 3858071, which has 2.5" mounting bolt centers. (original number on the pump was 3860879). Ordered a second motor that was supposed to fit with 2.3" centered mounting bolts. You guessed it, too narrow. I'm not really sure what to do.... I can't seem to find anything that will fit.

Original number on the pump motor: 3860879.
Model year is 2000.
