Volvo penta 275 broken steering collar

I'm looking at a used 2550 bayliner cierra for a winter project. Good running newer volvo 225 v8. But the collar that turns the outdrive is broken. What is required to repair replace this?

welcome aboard

you need to pull the drive, drop the fork and replace it. and most likely the bearings the steering fork rides in and based on the corrosion, a bunch of other parts once you get into it.
