Recently got this boat. AQ130 with 270 leg. Seems to idle fine, and wide open throttle is fine, it’s midrange, or mid throttle crusing, it surges. I think it’s over fueling, pulled plugs they look wet, and it seems to burn way more fuel then I’d think. I’ve redone the carbs with new kits and cleaned them. Cleaned fuel tank, new fuel filter and electric pump. Converted the points ignition to petro is, new plugs and wires. Don’t knkw what else to look at besides the carbs again. Are these finicky carbs to tune?

So I found that the rear carb is dripping fuel into the engine via main jet it appears. Pump running engine not running it drips in. I put on a electric pump says operates at 2.5-4.5 psi. I pulled top of carb off, didn’t find anything wrong. I found a spec that the fuel system of these carbs is 3.2psi. Could 4.5 be too high pushing excess fuel into engine causing my problem. Going to check fuel pressure and go from there.
