Factory timing mark GM 6.2 TDC???

Does the factory timing mark for TDC hit on both the exhaust and the compression stroke? I am firing motors and just lined up mark. I did not verify I assumed factory mark is on and hit tdc compression every time it lines up. My buddy says otherwise. So Does crank hit tdc compression on mark every other time mark lines up. Thanks.

with any 4-stroke engine, the crank makes 2 rotations for every one of the cam

you need to know where you are with respect to the CAM as well as the crank

google finding TDC on an SBC..... there are literally thousands of good videos.

Ok thanks makes sense, was 180 off. Guess I will confirm by pulling #1 plug out to find compression stroke.
