Penta sx-m clutch slipping in forward

Yes..he had the wrong oil in there (it was blue). Also the shift cable was pretty sticky. I have a new shift cable and oil...and I bought some shift shoe shims and will be checking that per the manual. Working on some touch up painting on the housing this week and will be assembling and testing this weekend.

Ok tomorrow morning is the moment of truth. It's all back together with a new shift cable. Shifts way smoother....in the driveway I get a nice clank when the clutch engages right away in both directions. It also locks up the prop immediately ...I can't turn it by hand like I could before. I'm about 600 bucks into this at this point so I hope it pans out. Will update after tomorrow's voyage.

Final update. Boat works great. Clutch grabs with a nice little bump in both directions. No slipping and brought it up to 45 mph...no noticeable issues.. Shifts smooth. Thanks again for all the help muc!
