Regal 2200 VP 5.7 . When I throttle down to go fast the boat wont move. Boggs down..Bow up...the RPMs go up like normal but I'm just pushing the water. It starts to go fast after getting up on plane. Then boat flys.
Had the propeller checked by company. they said it was fine.
Any ideas what could be causing the low power to start?

Ayuh,..... You've got W a y to much prop,......

You should be seein' 4800/ 5000 rpms at Wot, Flyin',.....

Yer luggin' the 'ell outa yer motor,.....
A lean condition, 'n that load will hole a piston in no time,....

Great hole shot will be yer side benefit,.....

Hi

Hoping to help but maybe thinking some of your data on the last post isn’t quite right. It won’t be a 14” prop.
I was straight off thinking your issue might be that the prop has vent plugs set up wrong but usually only on merc props. Not to say you can’t have one on a VP.

Need to know your drive type really. Your rpm should be much higher too when you are full throttle.
I could guess on at things like hub broken or similar but need more details really. Thanks.

It's a 5.7 GXi.
I can get more rpms and go faster. just was saying 3500-4 up on plane
it's the low hole shot...I get nothing. I push the throttle and the boat goes but takes it time to get going..rear way down with bow up.
it's just doesnt want to get on plane quickly

What is your RPM when your full out, litterally standing on the throttle control and "flying"

If less than 4800, you have an issue.

You mention 3500, however you reference the hole shot.

If you maximum RPM is only 3500, you are either over propped, or you are running on 6 cylinders

Your 19p prop should be right, so I would be looking at your motor

With that engine, boat and a 19” you should be flying out the hole.
Could be a number of reasons really...from hub issues to engine issues.
The engie you have is known for the diz cap being bad. Can you achieve full throttle ?
