Spark plugs for 1997 4.3L volvo penta

I have a 1997 OMC/ Volvo Penta 4.3l (2bbl carb)
I'm the 2nd owner I replaced the cap and rotor las year(appears as though it was original) and looking to do the spark plugs this spring(assuming those are original also) when I look up for the spark plugs I keep getting variable information for the correct plugs. Any one out there know with certainty what plugs I need? And what brand performs best in this engine? Thanks

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... Bein' a '97, it should have Vortec heads, so the AC Delco MR43LTS are the right spark plugs,.....

If you are of the NGK persuasion, it will almost certainly start with a BR6

It does say Vortec on the valve covers. Are the AC Delco,are they stainless steel or for marine use? I was reading that shouldn't use automotive plugs because higher moisture in the engine bay of the boat over an auto.

Ayuh,..... That's exactly what the "M" in the part number means,.......

Take the "M" outa the part number, 'n ya get a steel body automotive spark plug,......

any idea what spark plug wires I would need?
again it's a 97 4.3l 2bbl carb volvo penta, says vortex on the valve covers.

Ayuh,...... A set for a '97 Volvo V-6, 4.3l,..... Look em up,......

I'd ohm test what's there 1st,..... plug wires last along time on a boat motor, not much heat like automotive,......

'n automotive wire sets will be waayyy to short to work,.....

agreed, as long as the ohm reading does not exceed 1000 ohms per foot of length, you can use them.
