Ayuh,..... Don't have yer answer, But,.....

Put 12v power to the (+) tiny terminal on the coil, 'n the motor can be started, or recheck the plug to see which pin-out is the ignition pin,....

Thank you sooo much. I am afraid to jump straight to the coil with the electronics and computer. Do it all the time on conventional systems

Have come up empty at boatinfo, the manuals are not that new.
Also come up empty trying to find VP 14 to 10 pin wiring, or even a newer harness which uses the 14 pin connector. I'm still working on it but come up with some guesses and maybe some others can fill in some of the blanks. Double check my colors and such with your connector

A bit late but they do make a 14 to 10 pin converter. I didn't mention it because thought you just wanted to start it before install

have you looked up your wiring schematic in the manuals that I linked to in post #4?

I looked for the schematic before my first post at boatinfo but could not find it. Maybe someone can find it and post a link

Its probably similar as the GXI, and this motor uses a Pink/White which is powered up by the main power relay. Find this relay and there should be a
Red (fused power)
Pink/White (switched power)
Black (relay coil ground)
Shows Purple but may be something else (energizes relay)

If all else fails applying power between pins 30 and 86 should power up the ignition. Applying power should show power to the coil to verify the connection is correct
