I'm working on a boat engine for one of my buddies and it's got oil coming from somewhere it's making it's way into the water line somehow. My thought is that it might be coming from the oil cooler or hopefully not though the head itself not sure. Has anyone run into this problem before?

I would take the oil cooler apart, there is more oil pressure than water pressure. It just might be one of the seals where the end covers are mounted.

Agreed. Anywhere there is an oil/water interface is suspect. Most common would be the oil cooler, as you say...or the head after overheating.

Most radiator shops can test the oil cooler for leaks. Just take the tube bundle to the shop.
