5.7GXI-C / SX-M outdrive. I need to replace power steering actuator due to leaking. Can this be done without removing the motor and outdrive or would it be better to remove motor? Any helpful tip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
It's way back on the starboard side of the inner transom mount. I might try removing the starboard exhaust elbow, manifold and hoses etc first and see if that gives you enough room to work....
Do as Lou said. Your only issue will be is getting the cotter pins out.
Don't loose the o-rings on the fittings when you take the lines off. No need to remove the drive either.
