This is a recent purchase/project for me and I have notice that I have a rubber hose coming off my VP 5.0Gi pwtr fuel reservoir (high pressure pump) not going to anything. According to the parts diagram it should have a Impulse Limiter on the end of it. Also I do not know where it connects to. I have also found the fuel pressure is 36 psi instead of 30. Engine seems to be running good after giving it a little attention over the last couple of months.

I was able to locate some info below that should help with your question of where the hose should run to.

I took off line number 38 on the parts list and it had fuel in it, hopefully this is the hose. This hose goes from the vst to a fitting on the manifold just below the throttle body.
