As long as it does not change the compression ratio and the top of the piston is the same shape as the original.

Well the picture I found on another site has a slight dish in it but stock is not. I might have to leave the block as-is since Volvo no longer makes the part.

Ok I need to take another look at the old pistons. I think it might be dished.

You should find your old pistons are dished, mine are. Keep the thread alive. I have a 30 over block I stopped building when I thought I would have to buy custom made pistons.

Yeah I thought I saw your thread. I thought yours was a 151? They do make them for the aq131 in 030 and 060. 060 might be harder to find. I'm in the process of completely pulling the engine out and check the pistons. I think there's a slight piston slap. Good chance I will be replacing them and bore to 030. But yes they were dished. I had the heads off.

Ouch, mixed up my metric and english. .30mm is not going to help my .030" overbore

Why did you not go .30 or .60mm? That's the 2 that's sold. In any case it looks like I might not have to bore out the cylinders. Probably going to do a re-ring.
