Greetings all !!! Just joining but have been reading on google. I ran my 2011 Four Winns H260 I/O (fuel injected) boat on to a sand bar, ran for about 5 minutes after I had cleared the sandbar and shut it down when I saw it was overheating. We let it cool off and I removed the clog. Went to start the boat and all it would do is crank and wreaked of fuel. Put the throttle wide open and it would start. Had to get it towed. At home I made sure I got the cooling all clear. Disconnected battery overnight and reconnected-- no help. I used a 2k resistor on the ECT connector and no help. Disconnected the MAP sensor -- no change. Is there an IAT to check ? I can't find it in the SELOC manual. Anyone know how to check the codes for these newer systems ? Many Thanks!

Without a scanner I would check fuel pressure.

Your IAT is located on the intake as item 2 in link an the Merc part number 805223T (I know yours is a VP). Don't see the IAT as being the problem. Adding a resistor to the ECT would tell the PCM that it is even colder so it needs more fuel

Thanks AllDodge ! -- i used the resistor in place on the sensor -- i could not get to the sensor leads to check the resistance. I'll check the fuel pressure.
