On VP 4.3GL can water come in through exhaust upon sudden stop?

If I am cruising and shut 'er down and the wake comes towards the back of the boat is there any concern of water entering the cylinders? I saw the other thread and this is a topic I don't know the answer to for my boat - four winns horizon 180 '04....thanks

Ayuh,..... Anything is possible,..... 'n it's abit more likely with a Volvo, as they've quit usin' exhaust shutters,....
