Trim pump compatability

Hi, I have a 290 leg with an 852928 trim pump that is in need of replacement. Will the newer style with the white plastic reservoir on the bottom work?

the trim pump on a 290 is the oildyne 108. you can get them as low as 160 if you watch sales.

what is wrong with your pump? usually just the reservoir gets old and cracks.

edit: part number 852928 must be for an older 290. what year are you running?

the 87 on 290's all use the oildyne 108

My boat is a 1989, I can only assume the leg would be the same. It doesn't actually say "290" on it, only SP CD trim, which I am told is a version of the 290?
