Hello All,

I have a 2006 Larson 180 SEI (3.0L GLP-D) that came with swapped out carburetor which is not even a marine. It is leaking all over from the diaphragm to the butterfly shaft. It calls for a (3859065 Replaced by 21610333) but I am having a very hard time finding any information (CFM) or any other possible replacements.

I have found a (3857982 Volvo Penta SX 3.0L Holley Carburetor 2 BBL) which I believe is also replaced by the same new part number (21610333). Does anyone know if this will work?

welcome aboard

are you sure the carb has been swapped? post a pic

leaking could simply be a stuck float or needle/seat

a rebuild kit is $30

It looks like a Ford application with the kick down lever. Is there an adapter block between the manifold and carburetor. If there is one then a Rochester style from a Mercruiser might also work. Otherwise you have to stick with the Holley.

you cant post pics until your 4th post (in the rules you agreed to when you signed up)

definitely not a marine carb. looking at it, the PO probably had it laying around in a junk drawer. if I had to guess, that carb is at least 30 years old

merc stuff wont work on Volvo with the throttle. I would get a stock carb for the motor

Hello Kenny, there is an adapter so I will explorer this option but I'll probably stick with a Holley.

Thank you Scott for the information as well !

Nothing wrong with Holley 2bb marine carbs, simple but good design
