  • VP XDP drives opinions.

I am looking at getting a 2007 Rinker 320 that has dual Volvo 5.7 OSI engines with XDP drives. I am heard mixed things about these composite drives. Any thoughts? What to watch out for?

Some people have had pretty good luck with them but very few. Run from that drive it isn't going to be nothing but a heartache.

Even if you don't have trouble with them the resale will be more difficult than if it was just the standard SX drives. Keep looking. Not one of VPs better ideas...

Anyone know the approx. cost to replace them with OceanX drives? Maybe I can use this as negotiating leverage.

A kings ransom or 20k whichever is more. Forget it. Twin stern drives is a maintenance headache anyway.
