Greetings from the caribbean.

Boat: Criss-Craft Crowne 1997 (34ft)

Transmission: Hurth ZF 63a (V-DRIVE)
Engine: 2 KAMD Volvo Diesel

Is it possible to remove the transmission with boat in the water?

Looks like there is not enough clearance between shaft and the wall to remove the transmission.

Howdy

I would say in most all case, No. The prop shaft must be pulled back to separate the coupling. If the motor could be moved enough to do this without moving the prop shaft, if something happened while moving and the seal was damaged, you might sink the boat. Most inboards the transmission is removed with the motor, and then separated.
