Anyone have experience with bonding in a new hub into an AQ series prop? I'm getting a local prop shop to remove the old spun hub that is glued in, they are going to use heat. But he offered I glue the new hub in myself, if I want to... if I do, what kind of epoxy should be used?

you need a prop shop that has experience rehubbing. I have had 3 of them done by General Propeller in Bradenton FL. shipped one in when I lived in Wisconsin, and drove the other two over since I now live in Florida.

they do a good deal of the rehubbing this side of the Mississippi (servicing most other prop shops). mechanically you remove the rubber, then you vulcanize the new hub in place. I wouldn't use heat and I wouldn't try it yourself. I watched them fixture up my prop when they rehubbed the last one. it cost me about $86
