1997 Regal 2200 LSX w/ 4.3 GL Volvo/penta. outdrive was working fine, thought might have issue with neutral switch at throttle. The wires that control the outdrive got pinched as I hit forward throttle. I think a fuse blew somewhere. took the throttle apart and yep, the wires had been chaffed and contacted each other. Even though I routed the wires out of the way and wrapped in electrical tape where wire was bared, the outdrive no longer goes up and or down. Any guess as to where the fuse may be in the circuit? thanks

Mine on my 5.0 is located in the fuseb block mounted on top of the engine. Not sure if the two models have theno fuses in the same spot.

There will be a circuit breaker button on the trim relay box adjacent to the trim pump you need to reset.

adjacent...meaning next to the pump itself? I did not see one, but will look again tomorrow.

May be on the pump itself. Red button in the right of this picture. May vary by year though.

What is your model number? Volvo changed things around in the late 90's.
