Thank you Sir for your help. Should I be referring to this engine as a Scott/McCulloch 7.5 for future reference and clarification ?

McCulloch Is close enough.Motors were refered to as Scott for a short time.
Model number will help produce the year. 574-XXXXX
If not Sears may begin with A or 6,7 or 8. 69 begins with 1.

I just bought a jon boat today and it came with a Mcculloch 7.5 and the ole timer told me he always did 40:1 mixture .. I got it home 20 minutes ago and it runs great... the only thing I’m missing is it peeing from the tell tail .. is it correct that it doesn’t pee like newer motors?
