I confirmed the year thru pics of the plate. Above motor listed on EBAY. Supposed to run good. How high do you think I should go? No shipping expense. Motor is located about 2 hours from me so I could pick it up.

Judging by the price of new motors nowdays,if this motor was in good visual and operating condition I would pay $200-$250.Just my 2 cents.Availability of parts when needed may be an issue.

I thought of the parts problem also. Limited availability.
I did figure in the ballpark of $200.
Thanks again

I had a 7.5 Seaking, which I think is the same motor, and I sold it for $75. The great people on this board helped me fix it. I would not pay more than $100.00 for it.

That also looks like a Clinton Engine, which parts are almost impossible to find parts for.

DO NOT BUY THAT MOTOR!!!
A friend of mine has one (assuming it is one of those air cooled ones) and They are not made very well, and don’t hold up in salt water. It was a lawn mower with a prop, and never operated anywhere near the same performance as my 19716hp Johnson.
I personally think you would be better off with a 1958 6hp Johnson than that motor!!!
And most times you can find them Cheep!

Also all engine parts I ever needed for it came directly off the shelf of a mower shop!
