Metal on metal noise when pulling starter rope

Engine got ran without oil for about 3 minutes at high speed. Engine died and I tried to start it again before realizing I forgot oil. After that happened I hear a screeching metal on metal noise when I pull starter rope. I took off cylinder head cover and cylinder bore is not scratched. I rotated engine with a drill while cover was off and piston moved smoothly with no scratching noise. What could the noise be? I have a video of it but not sure how to post it. Thanks

A 2 hp motor or 300 HP motor ?------How about a model # here.

Sorry it’s a 1985 gamefisher 7.5hp. Model number av817-640-23a

saw your you tube video . if the motor runs fine the noise im hearing sounds metalic from the rope start mechanisim
