Gale Buccaneer Model 3D19V Carburater

I recently was given a Gale 3 hp Buccaneer that has a stuck engine. I will get into that later, but first I want to ID the Carb. and also the year built. The carb. doesn't have any numbers or name that i can find. . Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing in my manual tells the maker just that they used 3 types of carbs.3D and 5D and 12D...But someone on here knows and he will reply Im sure

It's awfully hard to ID the year of a motor from 3 carb pics. No guarantee, but pics of the motor with any cowling would help.

It is a model 3D15B, made unchanged for two years, 1958-59. I have all years 1956 through end of Gale production. Gale made their own carburetor.

3D19V is a 1963 Viking made by OMC in Canada. The recoil starter / Buccaneer decal that you posted is a 3D15B Buccaneer made by Gale in USA in 1958-59. In other words, the starter doesn't match the motor. They are the same motors under the paint though.

I also have a Viking, but mine is a 1958-59. Am I nuts?

1959 Viking ad just FYI The Gale / Viking motors were some of the most colorful motors ever made. That's one reason I collect them (other than being nuts).
