Ran fine not have to turn the petcock off to shut the gas off because the float was bad. So I bought a new float and when I installed it now the engine won’t even try to start. Any ideas? I also noticed that after I pulled the carburetor off and was fully cleaning it. That the red sock looking item had a rip in it will that make a difference if that is ripped or will I need that does is that an essential part I’m not even sure what that does and the carburetor and the carburetor is also still leaking I just can’t figure out where. Any help would be no greatly appreciated
