Dear all,

I have a 1948 Goodyear outboard, 1.5hp, model 25-3562. I need a new prop shaft oil seal. Anyone have an idea of where to look. The seal is 7/16 I.d. 3/4 o.d (11mm x 19mm). I can make everything but this seal.

Thanks,

Tom

Try the free classifieds at aomci dot org or take the relevant parts your local bearing/seal purveyor.

Call your local bearing/seal/industrial supply house and give them the seal l.D., O.D. And thickness....they may well have a direct replacement.....Also, if the shaft is warn or corroded they may recommend a shaft speedy sleeve that goes over the shaft...it's stainless steel and would give a fine surface for the seal to ride against...

Part number 550684. Available from your cooperative Evinrude dealer, if you be nice to him.
