    I am working on a 4.3 V6 and i need to know what the ignition timing is set on. Thanks i really appreciate it!

    And if anyone can help its a yamaha outdrive but on the outdrive it says yahama but could the motor be a mercruiser? it is a 4.3 V6 and i also need to know where i can find a four barrel carb for it mine is old and pitted on the inside and its flooding on the four barrel side and i just want to replace it? Where can i find a good one at priced decently? thanks

      All 4.3s are GM engines, but if the outdrive is Yamaha, your entire setup is considered a "Yamaha" I/O.

      If you're going to keep that OMC Cobra, please for the love of everything good in the world, get an OMC factory service manual. Not a Clymers, Not a SELOC. You can find them on eBay.

        First, do you have a jumper to connect to the distributor to lock the timing down? If you do, use the jumper and set the timing at 8BTDC. If you do not have a jumper, then you cannot set the timing.
