A 1993 four winns with a 5.8 efi. The throttle cable has been having some issues and i ordered a new one. The one that was in place was not the original and i went ahead and ordered one. The shifter control is not original and was replace by one from seastar BUT the that that i purchased once installed the shifter wont shift due to the cable not extending enough. I tried more searching but the endless info is blinding. Can anyone chime in and kindly supply a part number. The cable that i purchased was CC20517.

If the cable is not moving far enough I would look at the shifter first. Most have connection points or adjustments which allow more or less movement.

You need to go back and look at the instructions for the Teleflex throttle control, they are adaptable to either OMC, Merc or Volvo. The correct connection point for both the shift and throttle cables depends upon whether or not the cable pushes or pulls to advance the throttle or shift to forward if I remember right.
