I have an OMC 1998 Four Winns 5.8l ford efi that had crank mounted raw water pump. The issue was that the previous owner had a two groove pulley system for the crank and the engine water pump. That needed to be replaced for the 3 grooved pulled for water pump and crankcase. This led to the problem that the old crankcase water pump would not fit due to the new pulley. After digging i found that this engine would be allowed to have two types. The belt driven one and the crankcase one. I purchased a belt driven one (used) and replaced the impeller with new one. The issue now is the engine will not circulate water. I swapped hoses around and even sicked on the inlet hose and water is pulled up. Once it is attached to the pump it does not circulate. I read that inlet is 1 1/4 inches and outlet is 1 inch. At this point i am scratching my head. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Engine number is 58faprjvn.
